The 24th Annual Scientific Meeting of the European Elasmobranch Association was planned to be held by the Dutch member group Nederlandse Elasmobranchen Vereniging (NEV) in Leiden, the Netherlands between 28th and 30th October, 2020.
NEV, in consultation with the EEA Board, has decided to postpone this year’s EEA Meeting to 2021. The good news is that it will likely be at the same venue at the fascinating Naturalis Biodiversity Center, around the same time, just one year on! We hope to see you all there.
The EEA will still organise an online Annual General Meeting for its Member Groups. Details will be made available in due course.
We realise that for many students and early-career scientists this timing might no longer be relevant for their research. It is the EEA Board’s intention to hold a virtual EEA2020, creating a forum where student and early career scientists can showcase their work. Details, including an expression of interest, will be released soon and will be available here on the EEA website.
Looking forward to seeing you on-line and in Leiden in 2021!
